EGULLAK PRACTICAL GUIDE · FAMILY FINANCE
Build a family financial emergency file
A simple, secure index can help trusted family members locate essential contacts and documents during an emergency—without turning one folder into a security risk.
Create an index, not a secret vault
List institution names, policy numbers, adviser or service contacts and document locations. Never write passwords, PINs, OTPs or full card details in the file.
Record nominations and ownership
Note where nomination details can be verified for investments, insurance, bank accounts and retirement benefits. Review them after major family changes.
Include medical-insurance contacts
Keep the insurer, TPA where applicable, policy number, network-search route and claim-help details accessible to responsible family members.
Review the file every year
Update closed accounts, new policies, changed contacts and document locations. Destroy outdated copies securely rather than allowing several conflicting versions.
